On the evening of January 17 I had the opportunity to see “it,” feel “it” and hear “it.”

I absolutely loved it staring the Hughes Brothers and their families. When you weave the talents of the Hughes Brothers, their wives, children and a great five piece live band into a magnificently choreographed, colorful, high energy and fast paced production, the result is a magical inspiring cornucopia of great singing, instrumentals, comedy, dancing and entertainment, covering everything from pop, classical, country, gospel, patriotic and more that is truly one of Branson’s ultimate entertainment experiences.

The evening started with dinner in the theatre’s balcony dining area which was a delightful three course meal prepared on the premises by Chef Laurie and served by Philip.
By Joshua Clark, Branson Tri-Lakes Newspaper

The harsh coldness of January in the Ozarks didn’t deter the Hughes Brothers from kicking off their 2014 season performing “it” Wednesday night in Branson.

“We didn’t get much of a break between our Christmas shows and now,” said Ryan Hughes with a laugh. “We were working on the show, rehearsals and the fact we have a theater to run.

“But, we always get it together and have a lot of fun and excitement, especially around opening night.”

For the past 14 years, the brothers have owned and operated the theater, formerly owned by Roy Clark. Each member of the family has certain duties they are responsible for, from office work to the gift shop.

“Honestly, Jason (the director) probably has the toughest job because everyone has an opinion about what goes on the stage, even the kids,” Ryan Hughes said. “I do all the office work, and nobody is breaking my door down to discuss how I do paperwork.”

Ryan Hughes said Jason Hughes has the final say when it comes to the show, and how it’s put together.

For the first few months, the format will be essentially the same as last year, with a few surprises thrown in. As the season progresses, things will change at a more rapid pace.

“You never uproot a whole show because we have so many changes each year with just the kid’s sections, so we like to work on other things and add them in later,” Ryan Hughes said.
According to the director, there will be a few major changes coming soon.

“The last couple of years, we’ve sort of gone away from some of the more traditional things we’ve done in the past,” Jason Hughes said. “We plan on putting our country music section back in the show as well as a few other things we’d like to see.”

In addition to the country section and a few new Broadway tunes, the brothers are currently working on a few things they just weren’t ready to let out yet.

“We do have a few other things up our sleeve for the rest of the season,” Jason Hughes said. “But right now, they’re hard to explain — some comedy and new a capella stuff, but it’ll be a whole lot of fun.”

While the show will feature several new bits, a few changes had to be made because two of the older children won’t be performing in the show this season.

“My oldest son and Marty’s oldest son are both leaving to become ministers,” Jason Hughes said. “We are so proud of the both of them, but with them leaving, some of the younger kids can step up.”
With a family so large, Hughes said they have a “huge cabinet of weapons” to pull from for the show.
“Some of the younger kids don’t have the same strengths as the older kids, but they have other strengths,” Jason Hughes said.

He said featuring the children allows them to include more contemporary tunes in the show.
“We (the Brothers) do a few contemporary songs, but it works better with the kids,” Jason Hughes said. “Maybe Marty could get away with doing Cee-Lo Green though.”

Despite the fact the brothers perform music from more than six decades, family is the most important driving force behind the show, and that’s what the brothers would like to see people take from the time they spend together.

“I think if people come and see our show, they’ll leave feeling changed,” Jason Hughes said. “We like to give them an awesome experience, but we really hope they’ll want to pick up the phone and make a connection with their family after spending time with ours.”

Dallin Hughes is a resident of Branson and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints. He is a registered scout in Troop 879. He is a homeschooled student and performs with his family at the Hughes Brothers Theatre. For his Eagle Scout project, he organized a group of scouts and volunteers who served the city of Branson by making improvements to the Lakeside Forest Wilderness Area off of Fall Creek Road. The historic Owen homestead is located there and overlooks Lake Taneycomo and the College of the Ozarks. The service group cleared heavy brush and created a walking path along a stone wall that surrounds the homestead.

Dallin enjoys writing, dancing, singing, public speaking, public relations and outdoor activities. He has performed on stage in Branson from the time he was 2 years old. He teaches hip-hop dance at Sonshine Dance Studio and was the recipient of Branson Show Awards' Young Male Entertainer of the Year in 2012. He plans to serve a two-year mission for his church and continue performing. He would also like to be come a mentor and motivational speaker.

Christopher Haynie is a student at Branson High School. He enjoys playing the trumpet and French horn. He is in the marching band, jazz band, and has been in the orchestra for two musical productions. He is an honor student, having earned an academic letter, and is a participant in Missouri Scholars Academy for 2013. He is an academic team and chess club member. He will be a junior in the 2013-14 school year. Haynie is a member of Troop 978 and has earned 31 Merit Badges. He has served as patrol leader, bugler, and historian. For his Eagle project, Haynie met with the city, determined where a new trail needed to go (including a pass by a scenic water fall) and then organized a group of youth to mark, clear, and define a new trail at Lakeside Forest Wilderness Area in Branson.
There’s a dash of comedy, and those kids will charm your socks off!

After an energetic opening with more than a dozen brothers, wives and kids Dance to the Music, the five Brothers slow things down with songs like Blue Moon and Chain Gang, tunes that show off their beautiful harmony. Marty, Jason, Adam, Ryan and Andy have been singing together all their lives; the harmony is not just musical. The boys and their families work closely to create the show that has been entertaining Branson visitors for almost 20 years.

Do you remember sweet little Kristina? Still very sweet, she is now 20 years old. She is Marty and Cindy’s daughter, oldest of their 14 children and the oldest Hughes

grandchild.

Gary and Lena Hughes started the Hughes Brothers' music lessons early. Soon they were performing at church dinners, civic events, performing lead roles in musicals, and eventually performing in Branson. Here they all have roles other than music. Producing and directing, lighting and graphics … lots of jobs!

The song selection and production numbers are all good. Here Comes the Sun with Kristina on violin, along with four of the older boys, turns into a funky modern dance. It’s suits ‘n’ sunglasses when the guys sing My Gal, and the wives sport pretty parasols for Walkin’ in Sunshine. The Hughes Brothers Kids is a delightful number, too. And when five of the younger boys come out dressed in cowboy finery to sing Mama Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys, they look just like the ‘original’ Hughes brothers when they were young, performing on the state fair circuit.

Jason starts the second half with Give My Regards to Broadway. The number from Big River is nice; there are a lot of favorites like Wells Fargo Wagon from Music Man; It’s a Hard Knock Life from Annie; New York New York from On the Town. The band is top notch and shows off with a number from Chicago. My favorite has to be the hand jive number from Will Rogers Follies, Hooray for Our Favorite Son. Hope no one got smacked or got an eye poked out in rehearsal for that one!! Their gospel and patriotic medley at the close of the show are beautiful, with the whole family on stage. Your family will enjoy their family!

Speaking of family, the other show headlining at the Hughes Brothers Theatre is Ayo starring Voices of Glory. Michael, Avery and Nadia Cole. They were Top 5 finalists on America’s Got Talent; the story of how they started singing is poignant and very touching. They have an easy, graceful manner on stage and their voices and harmonies are exceptional. Nadia, who is just 13, has an extraordinary voice; close your eyes and you think you’re listening to an older, more experienced vocalist. Someday we may be saying, “I remember her when she was just 13 and performing in Branson!”

Michael, Avery and Nadia do a wide variety of music styles. I think they really shine when they’re singing jazz and soul numbers. They have an especially good band, too. I know Marty Wilhite and Mitch Kiersey, exceptional musicians who have been on the Branson scene a long time. It’s a New Dawn is very stylish. And I really like their arrangement of Cry Me a River. They were scattin’ through Summertime (“and the livin’ is easy.”) They do gospel and Broadway, and it was fun when Michael sang I Won’t Dance and Nadia and Avery came out doing a fun, funky dance. Tina Turner would be impressed if she heard Nadia’s Rollin’ on the River! She really ‘gets after it!’ Ayo is Branson’s newest hit show … put it on your “must see” list!

<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">
<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">In 2011, a family of entertainers decided to completely repackage and rename their show. Featuring more than 40 cast and crew members, “it” features one of the largest performing families in the world, the Hughes family.

<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">
<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">
“We worked on a lot of this stuff for a while, but didn’t put anything into the show until 2011,” Marty Hughes said. “We just thought that ‘Hughes Brothers’ didn’t describe our show since there is so much more besides us in the show.”

<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">
<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">Because the old title wasn’t conducive to what the family was trying to convey, a new title was chosen.

<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">
<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">
“The title ‘it’ has a little mystique to it, and ‘it’ is a whole lot easier to advertise,” said Marty Hughes. “Changing the show name was honestly a great move. We’ve seen an increase in numbers, and they are continuing to grow, which is a good thing.”

<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">
<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">According to youngest of the brothers, Andy Hughes, “it” was the perfect title for their stage extravaganza.

<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">
<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">“We are a variety show featuring so many things, we don’t know how to describe it other than saying it’s ‘it,’” Andy Hughes said. “We want people to experience ‘it’ for themselves and not get a preconceived notion as to what ‘it’ is, because they might be surprised. You have to see ‘it’ to get ‘it,’ because ‘it’ is what ‘it’ is.”

<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">According to Hughes, getting the entire family involved is something they’ve done for several different reasons.

The story of Voices of Glory is one of tragedy, triumph and hope. The Cole siblings — Michael, 20, Avery, 17, and Nadia, 13 — combine to form the trio Voices of Glory, who are starring in their own show at the Hughes Brothers Theatre, “Ayo.”

The trio, originally from upstate New York, first gained national recognition with their fifth place finish on “America’s Got Talent.” It was their story, along with their voices, that brought members in the audience and judge Sharon Osbourne to tears.

“Our mother, Felicia, was involved in a head-on collision with a drunk driver and ended up in a coma for eight months,” Michael Cole said. “That is really how the group started, as we came together just to sing for our mom, just to try and get a response from her.”

Soon after, the group began visiting nursing homes and hospitals to perform. Eventually, they started to get booked by larger churches and venues, then “America’s Got Talent” came calling. After finishing fifth, the group decided to set their sights on Branson.

“We came here after (‘America’s Got Talent’) because we were offered a contract to do a show,” Michael Cole said. “We got here, and, about a month later, we found out the person who brought us out was a fraud, so we were kind of left high and dry.”

Despite the fact the group had no show in Branson, they decided to take their act on the road, but kept Branson as a home base of operations. When they weren’t on the road, they performed at Barbara Fairchild’s diner, as well as the Christian night club, The Night Light.

After spending the majority of the past two years on the road, including tour stops in Germany, Madison Square Garden and several several stops in the states, they were asked to perform in the Christmas show at Andy Williams’ Moon River Theatre last season. After a few weeks performing, matriarch of the Hughes family, Lena Hughes, saw the show.

“She saw the performance and came to us and told us she wanted us to be a part of their theater,” Michael Cole said. “Ever since then, we’ve been working diligently to get the show up and running.”

Once they decided to accept the Hughes’ offer, they were faced with the daunting task of putting a show together from the ground up.

BRANSON, Mo. – The Hughes Family has enough life and talent to light up Branson even in January and February when most shows are on winter break.

On a cold weekend in January, the Hughes Family was only one of two shows that performed on a Saturday night. That all changes in March and April as Branson shows reopen.

Maybe the Hughes Family performs 12 months a year because they have 44 (by my count) mouths to feed with at least one more on the way.

This is a wonderful family show with what is billed as the largest family of entertainers in the world. It is anchored by five brothers – Marty, Jason, Adam, Ryan and Andy. These singers show a remarkable range in their vocals and they have an unmistakable quality – they love to sing and they love to perform together on stage.

Marty and wife Cindy have 13 kids and one on the way. Nineteen-year-old daughter Kristina is captivating on the fiddle and Dallin, 17, is quite a contortionist when it come to dance moves.
Jason and wife Mara have eight (I think that’s right) children. All of the Hughes children are wildly talented but Jacson’s 17-year-old son Aaron is a born showman and that is hard to miss.

Adam and wife Vikki have one son, Liam. Ryan and wife Carina have seven kids and Adam and wife Becky are raising four beautiful youngsters.

The five brothers alone would be a great show but the kids add a special dimension. There are shows that will push a kid on stage who is not ready or is just not talented enough but that is not the case with the Hughes children (except for the really little ones, of course).

Ayo starring Voices of Glory kicks off its first season in Branson at the Hughes Brothers Theatre on Monday, March 18, 2013, at 3:00pm. The new show stars some very famous siblings, Michael, Avery, and Nadia Cole, who together are known as Voices of Glory. Ayo (Yoruba for Joy) is being co-produced by the Hughes Brothers who are known for their creative productions including the show it and the Hughes Brothers Christmas Show. Jason Hughes says, “In Ayo we’re taking the audience on a journey of joy using song, dance, lights, and the personalities of Michael, Avery, and Nadia, backed up by a live band.” Michael Cole adds, “We love the music and we love what music can do for people. In Ayo we want the audience to feel what we feel when we sing – a pure call to joy!” Shows are from March through December, check schedule for exact dates and specific show times.
Nadia Cole says, “Ayo adds another level to the Branson show mix. While Ayo features our original music, and of course our gospel favorites, it also reaches out to visitors of all ages with current and familiar songs that speak to the musical soul.” Avery Cole adds, “Ayo is also a slang term for ‘Hey you’…and we’re hoping that just like that term reaches out and grabs your attention…that Ayo will reach out and grab your heart!”

Long time fans of the Voices of Glory are familiar with their amazing story. They first started singing together in a hospital room for their mother who was in a coma brought on by a head-on collision with a drunk driver. The kids serenaded their mother for months and then she came out of her coma. They continued to visit hospitals singing for others who were in need. Then they appeared on America’s Got Talent in 2009 – where their audition in front of the live audience was awe-inspiring. Their eventual rank in the top 5 catapulted them into major appearances and touring internationally. They most recently appeared in Branson as a featured act in Andy Williams Christmas Show. Their most recent international appearance took them to Germany for Weihnachtszauber. Of their many charitable and recording projects, their most current project - a new album called “Send-A-Miracle” - will be available on March 1 and includes some of their own original music.

Jeff Topper, Director of Sales for the Hughes Brothers Theatre says, “All of the shows at our theater are really designed for today’s audiences. At the Hughes Brothers Theatre we’re already open with our hit show it and we’re excited about adding another upbeat show like Ayo starring Voices of Glory to our theatre line-up.” Voices of Glory’s management team – their parents Michael and Felicia Cole, and Uncle Gerard – add that “we believe the Hughes Brothers Theatre in Branson, MO is the perfect fit for the Voices of Glory.”

The Voices of Glory are a group of siblings
(Michael, Avery, & Nadia Cole) whose unique style of singing harmonies,
pitch perfect sound, and shining personalities have led to some amazing success
at a young age. From landing in the top 5 of America’s Got Talent in 2009 to
touring internationally, performing at the Annual GMA’s Dove Awards, the 2010
& 2011 ICM Awards, at Madison Square, to being a featured act in Andy
William’s 2012 Christmas Show and now to their own show, Ayo, in Branson,
Missouri, the Voices of Glory have inspired millions with their personal story.
They started to sing together in 2007 when their mother was in a coma brought
on by a head-on collision with a drunk driver. For months they serenaded their
mother and she eventually came out of a coma.

The “Hughes Brothers Christmas Show” is among the minority of Branson’s entertainment scene this time of year in that it is a full holiday presentation.

During this season, many other theaters present half of their regular season show and half of a Christmas show, or intersperse seasonal material through the production.

Jason Hughes, second-oldest brother, said there are several reasons his family “doesn’t hold back at all” when it comes to Christmas.

“The first show we ever did in Branson was a Christmas show,” he said.

In fact, he said the holidays have always been the busiest season, in terms of number of shows for the Hughes brothers, who have been performing since they were children.

But, Jason Hughes said the decision to present a show that was entirely Christmas-themed went beyond the fact that the brothers happened to have a lot of holiday material.

“Personally, we feel like there’s just so much to present when it comes to Christmas,” he said. “I think it wouldn’t have the same feeling if we tried to squeeze all that into half of a show.”

The support is coming from everywhere now dozens of Branson performers will participate in the Joplin relief effort during a Branson cares telethon.

We will air that telethon on Sunday, June 26th but today Angela Garcia met up with a number of those performers who are already getting started.

The sound of chainsaws and stacking debris aren't typical sounds coming from these Branson entertainers.

A handful of performers put their normal jobs on hold to help clean up Joplin neighborhoods.

"we're glad to be here glad to help out however we can- good way to spend the weekend. The silver lining in all of this is that so many people can come together and do some good together. It just makes you feel good inside."

The Hughes brothers signed up to volunteer through their church

They will also participate in the Branson Cares Telethon.

This was the first time many of the performers had been in Joplin since the tornado hit.

"I just couldn't believe the devastation. All the trees torn apart. The buildings leveled, uh pieces of metal and buildings wrapped around trees. It's hard to believe. It's completely different to see things first hand than to see it on the news or see pictures of it. "

Tim Dutton and his wife volunteered through the boomtown days event.

They signed up for the race which was then changed to a clean up day after the tornado.

"Many of the Branson performers say they offer relief to people through their entertainment. After seeing the devastation in Joplin they knew they had to bring their effort here."

"The one thing that can never be taken from us is our hope. And that's something that we can all give as Branson entertains. We entertain- but being able to come up here and let the people know that even as far away as Branson- that we're thinking about them we care enough that we wanna come up here, clean up and help them rebuild."Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0Joplin, MO, USA37.084227100000007 -94.51328137.005907600000008 -94.5812855 37.162546600000006 -94.4452765tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6572498983328762337.post-24241931222840675622011-05-04T06:02:00.000-07:002011-05-04T06:02:12.416-07:00A trip to Branson goes beyond the expected (from the St Louis Post-Dispatch)By Amy Bertrand for the St Louis Post-Dispatch

Here are a few excerpts from the story:

"I'll admit I was curious. In the weeks preceding our trip to Branson, I had heard opinions on the "Live Music Capital of the World" from several dozen people."

"Branson, it turns out, is both everything I expected and nothing I expected."

"Obviously, we barely scratched the surface of all there is to see and do in Branson."

THE SHOWS

"Sure, Branson features plenty of famous singers and variety shows, but I wanted to try something different."

And here's a little bit of what she had to say about our friends JEERK who perform at the Hughes Brothers Theatre:
Joplin Globe new media and marketing manager

BRANSON, Mo. — Jason Hughes and his four performing brothers come by their love of music and entertaining naturally.

“My dad was a great singer and played the accordion and guitar by ear, and my mother was quite an accomplished clarinetist,” the 39-year-old father of seven said. “My mother and father loved to sing and play. They didn’t do it for a living; they just really enjoyed it a lot.”

As children, the Hughes brothers’ parents encouraged their boys to learn musical instruments, unafraid of a percussive clan.

“They kept a box full of rhythm instruments in the closet and would pass them out to all of us when we were just little,” he said. “We would play the (wooden) block and the triangle. It was a noisy household.”

In the Hughes family, they learned to love entertaining at an early age.

“People would ask us to sing for this or that,” Hughes said. “Somebody would see us singing together and ask us to do something else.”

Eventually, Mom and Dad Hughes stepped off stage and moved behind the scenes, leaving the performing to their talented boys. That was 30 years ago.

Today, the five performing brothers, their wives, dozens of kids and four adopted siblings — more than 40 in all and growing all of the time — bill them selves as “America ’s Largest Performing Family.” The fertile Branson brood entertains visitors at The Hughes Brothers Theater through Dec. 18 with a special Christmas show and the promise of another new offering next year.

Small breaks

“When we were kids, it was just one gig after another gig. It just got bigger all of the time,” he said. “We stepped up to the opportunities. I don’t think we ever did have a big break. It was just a series of steps and smaller breaks.”

Small steps or not, the boy band from Taylorsville, Utah, got its break. It led them to Branson.

“People were always telling us we should go to Branson,” Hughes said. “We didn’t know much about Branson, but people told us we would be the perfect show.”

The Hughes family won a talent contest in Las Vegas and earned a recording contract in Nashville. They decided to give Branson a look — and an audition — along the way.

They liked what they saw. The Hughes Brothers landed a gig at Silver Dollar City. Soon, Merle Osmond liked what he saw and offered the guys a chance to fill in for his family when the Osmond Brothers were out of town. One gig led to another and, eventually, they landed in their own theater and produced their own shows.

“Then our wives started to perform with us and then we added more variety in the show as kids joined in,” Hughes said. “To us it was just the logical thing that they would be involved. I don’t know that we actually ever made that conscious decision. It just happened.”

Family affair

It all started when Hughes’ brother Marty’s 2-year-old daughter jumped up on the stage one day at Silver Dollar City while her dad and uncles were performing.

“She started to wiggle and dance to the music the audience went nuts,” the proud uncle said. “She knew that it was for her and then she did it every day.”

Hughes laughed when asked if he knew their kids steal the show.

“There’s no doubt,” he said. “When we first started it wasn’t what we expected. It was kind like what happened with us and our parents.”

The family, he said, has always been quick to nurture the talents of their kids.

“We’ve always see the possibilities when they present themselves. It’s funny, as we watch the kids grow and they show an interest we encourage them to pursue it and get lessons. We try to find experts to give them instructions so they can progress and so we can find a way to incorporate them into the show.”

Today, nearly 30 singing and dancing third-generation Hughes are involved in the family show and business.

‘Warm and fuzzy’

The first half of the family’s Christmas show, Hughes said, “is probably the quintessential Christmas show most people will see. We sing all of the great traditional Christmas songs as a family, which Christmas is all about. Some of the songs we sing in the Christmas show we sang when we first started singing together as brothers.”

Hughes said that he and his brother have been singing “Jolly Old St. Nicholas” together for more than 25 years.

“It gives you that all warm and fuzzy Christmas feeling,” he said.

During the second half of the show, the theme turns more spiritual.

“Santa narrates the story of the true meaning of Christmas, with the symbols that Christmas represents,” he said. “In the end, Christmas is about Christ. People always tell us after the show that, ‘We are so glad that you put Christ back into Christmas.’ I think if you take Christ out of Christmas all you end up with is ‘Mas.’”Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6572498983328762337.post-76617199655075776552010-11-25T00:41:00.000-08:002010-12-05T00:48:26.536-08:00Branson Still One of the Brightest Destinations for Holiday Fun, MusicIn an article for the FloValley News (Missouri) Bob Lindsey wrote this...

There are a half-dozen or more family musical groups in Branson, but none as versatile or as large as the Hughes Brothers (or should we say Hughes Family), now in their 16th season in Branson. Ev eryone gets into the act: five brothers, their wives and 29 children. Mom and Dad are also in the House at the Hughes Theater, which the family owns and operates.

Unlike most of the other Christmas shows in Branson that mix other music besides the holiday songs, the Hughes Brothers show is all Christmas this time of the year with just the right mix of secular and religious music. The youngsters, even down to the smallest toddler, sing and dance and some play the violins and fiddlers, all with natural stage presence. Santa takes on a new role in this show as he explains the symbols of Christmas. website: Hughes-brothers.com
BRANSON, Mo. — While other teenage boys are practicing three-point shots, memorizing football plays or working on perfecting the curveball, David Dimitri Hughes heads to the same gym, day after day.

And it's paid off.

On July 10, Hughes lifted 360 pounds on the bench press at the Southern Power Lifting Federation Competition, earning him the world record in the teen 16/17, 148 lbs. weight class. With 13 state, three national and one additional world record, Hughes' list of accomplishments keeps growing.

"He just strives for being the best at whatever he does," Lena Hughes, David's mother, said.

Five multi-talented Swedish rhythm artists/dancers/musicians with varied backgrounds have made a footprint in Branson this summer.

Swedish rhythm artist group JEERK is performing at the Hughes Brothers Theatre in Branson, Missouri until late October. (http://www.hughesbrotherstheatre.com/)

The critics have raved about them since they started performing five years ago all over Europe – “The late Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly must be happy in heaven when they see something like this.” (LT, Östersund) “These five young men can do anything that can be done on a stage, and they do it magnificently.” (Ystad Allehanda)

The entertainers bring rhythm from everything in their way - hockey sticks, barrels, musical instruments etc. They tap, sing, dance - yes, they are doing all on stage that can be named entertainment. (Think Blue Man Group meets Fred Astaire in a Rock ‘n’ Rhythm show...)

JEERK comes from Gothenburg on the Swedish west coast. Their show is filled with rhythms, energy and musicality.
These brother's have more then 25 kids between them and they all are in the show. They aren't done having kids either so I think they are going to need a bigger stage soon. 8pm we went and saw SIX, 6 brothers that have amazing voices, no band but you would swear there was a band there. They are dubbed "An Orchestra of Human Voices" really a fabulous show. One story they told was that at 17 their mom was told she could never have kids. However she went on to have 10, yes I said 10, all boys. They said that the other 4 brothers were normal and had real jobs.
The RV park we are staying at is right in the middle of town, so all of the touring and shows we have seen have all been in walking distant."Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6572498983328762337.post-52830537384222048902010-05-04T00:27:00.000-07:002010-05-04T00:27:13.324-07:00Hughes Brothers Show - Best Show in Town - Branson MoFrom a review on TripAdvisor...
